The founder, owner and publisher of Southeast European Journal of Emergency and Disaster Medicine is the Serbian Society of Emergency Physicians
The journal is dedicated to works in the field of Emergency Medicine and other related medical disciplines that are of interest to emergency medicine.
The magazine was founded in 2015.

The journal is published as an Open Access Journal only in electronic form, at the web address www.seejournal.rs, twice a year.
The Southeast European Journal of Emergency and Disaster Medicine publishes original, previously unpublished papers:

• Original scientific (professional) papers: Papers in which the results of own research are published for the first time.
• Announcements: Full-format but smaller-scale original scholarly papers.
• Review articles: Contain an original, detailed and critical presentation of a research problem or area in which the author has already made a specific contribution, presented in the form of self-citations.
• Case presentation.
• Scientific criticism, that is, a polemic on a specific topic based on scientific argumentation, current topics: contemporary issues of theoretical and practical importance for the profession.
• Exceptionally: monographic studies, historical-archival, lexicographical, bibliographic studies or data reviews, provided that it is a question of summarized data that was not previously available to the public.

The Southeast European Journal of Emergency and Disaster Medicine applies the procedure of two-sided anonymous review of all papers.
